Excerpt from National Poultry Digest, Vol. 2: January, 1940
In the 40 flocks above mentioned, with only one exception, the mor tality did not exceed 1 per cent. In many cases the flocks recovered without the loss of a single bird. When one considers the basic factor involved in the treatment of this form of coccidiosis that of regulating the rate of ingestion of sporulated coccidia until the bird may develop a natural immunity, which, in the case of E. Tenella, is usually completed in five or six days - the results do not seem so amaz ing. On the contrary, they are only what might be reasonably expected.
